Varamin – Meeting with Deputy Minister of Education of Afghanistan
Yesterday, we had an intimate meeting with Dr. Sardar Mohammad Rahimi the Deputy Minister of Education of Afghanistan, in a primary school in Varamin. After a long time, we saw each other again. I remember the distant years and the cordial gatherings we had at the Cultural Association of Afghan refugee Students in Iran (Fada) and other student gatherings. Even during our college years at the university, Dr. Rahimi was one of the most hard-working and progressive students, working in various fields for the development of students and student groups. And he achieved valuable results indeed. In this meeting, he had hopeful talks about the future plans that the Literacy Department of the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan, has for afghan students in Iran. He patiently listened to the suggestions of all friends and colleagues working in the self-governing schools and he promised to do his best to fulfill them or to convey their concerns to the relevant officials in the Ministry of Education of Afghanistan. Hoping greater triumphs for him, especially in his new position in the Ministry of Education as Deputy Minister of Vital Literacy (Education).
