Standing for a while.
The sky was clear and the stars were sparkling. It was past midnight. We got out of the yard and hurried past the houses. We arrived at the avenues. The sound of continuous shooting wrapped heard. My father immediately told us to sit next to the garden wall. He himself went to the end of the alley. Behind the wall, there were tall poplars, and the rustling of their branches was scaring us. “The neighbor woman is deeply asleep thinking that we are next door…” my mother said.
