Short story in Afghanistan

Mohammad Hussein Mohammadi has tried to show the history and evolution of short story writing in Afghanistan in the detailed essay “Short Story in Afghanistan”. In the first parts of this essay, which is a small book in itself, since many texts are not available to everyone, he has dealt with Persian stories and short stories in more detail and as we get closer to today, those details and examples have been reduced. Because the original sources are available and the reader can also refer to the original works. On the other hand, studying the works of an author in the early days of storytelling of the country is not easy and requires more time. But the author has tried to pause at the works of prominent and influential authors and has dealt with them briefly. Fifty-four authors have since been introduced with examples of their stories. These authors and their stories have been selected with this approach in order to get a relatively clear view of the process and history of Persian short stories in Afghanistan.
