Koodakan-e-Aftab ensign of Afghan magazines in International book Fair in Tehran- Iran. In Tehran International Book Fair there are 600 stalls with more than 940 magazine publishers, among them Koodakan-e-Aftab (Sun’s Children) monthly magazine is the only Afghan publisher. As reported by Mehr News, this magazine was established by Nader Mousavi in 2015. This magazine has been presented in different fairs during these years and this is its 3rd year in TBF. Nader Mousavi in his interview with Mehr News stated that Koodakan-e-Aftab monthly magazine is the only Afghan magazine present in the fair. Mousavi added this is the only Afghan magazine writing for children. We tried to be more active this year to introduce this magazine to people and raise awareness about Afghan students in Iran and their financial disadvantages among people. The author of magazine also mentioned: we have 5 series of magazine in our stall, and we demonstrate Farhang School’s activities for last 20 years with all these photos. Mousavi said his goal is to introduce the magazine to national reporters an publisher as an internal (national) magazine. He said people welcomed the magazine and they were interested in the stalls and reporters covered the topic very well. One of the biggest achievement of this fair for him was finding teachers who are interested to teach to Afghan children, or happy to help with distribution of the magazine. He mentioned he also found financial supports for children. At the moment we have released 21 copies of the magazine which is available in our website in digital and PDF formats.
