Baghal Kashi (Hugging)- Written by Nader Musavi- 22 January 2020
At the end of the day, I read that 1st Bahman (21 January) was International Hugging Day. I got upset about having forgotten it. The next day, 2nd Bahman, I spoke at school about hugging, and its importance for students. After my speech I hugged all the boys and the teachers hugged their students before going to class. The students were happy, and some of the girls burst into tears while hugging their teachers. The good old days!
The Coronavirus had not become a pandemic yet and it was not so scary. Those days were the last days of handshaking, hugging and kissing comfortably, and without fear. I am content that in those last days we had the opportunity to hug each other and the students, and that memorable day of our lives was recorded for school history. A few days ago, it was children’s day; in some way.
