Atlas News Agency: The strong presence of Afghan publications in Tehran International Book Fair

According to Atlas News Agency, the 30th Tehran International Book Fair was inaugurated on May 3rd, by the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran and the Minister of Culture and Islamic guidance.

From Afghanistan, Tak Publication, Kudakan-e-Aftab Magazine, Erfan Publication, Afghan Literature House and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Iran participated in the 30th International Book Fair.

According to this report, Tak Publication by publishing 60 books that have not been published in Iran so far, including Mohsen Saeedi’s The Thirtieth Portion, How the Eagle Dies by Abutaleb Mozaffari, The Night That Passed Through Our Skin by Mohammad Sadegh Dehghan, Golnar and the mirror by Rahnavard Zaryab and… has participated in the 30th Tehran International Book Fair.

In the children and adolescents section,The books: “Once upon a time…, wheat racemes and the grasshopper by Mohammad Hossein Mohammadi from Tak Publications are also among the books in this exhibition.

The booklet “A Letter to Taliban” from a series of letters for peace compiled by Nader Musavi and Hossein Sukhtanloo has also been widely acclaimed. This booklet consists of children’s letters to the Taliban.

It is worth mentioning that a delegation of publishers and cultural activists from Italy attended the 30th Tehran International Book Fair, as guests of honour.

The 30th Tehran International Book Fair with the slogan “Let’s read one more book” will be held from 3rd to 13th of May in the Aftab Exhibition Complex.
